February 12, 2019 – Swansea, England – Last night, one of our former players Levi Houapeu and World Class Premier club representative Michael Goedde met with Dafydd Evans in Swansea, England. Evans is currently the Head Coach of the Swansea University team, an affiliate of Swansea FC who currently plays in the Championship in England.
Houapeu played with World Class Premier Elite in both the Washington Premier League and Maryland Majors as well as during the current US Open Cup Qualifying Round run. A dynamic player, Houapeu is now over in England playing under Evans.
The meeting involved discussion and planning on further collaboration between Swansea University and World Class Premier. With a “one club” mentality, this is another step in making World Class Premier a fully integrated club where youth players can have a direct line and pathway to playing at a higher level. From our youth teams to Maryland Majors team to the UPSL team and now potential international connections, players can progress through the club if they demonstrate the skill, work ethic, and desire that is needed to play at these higher levels.
We are sad to see Levi leave, but happy and excited to watch him on his new chapter!
