Important Dates & Info
League & Training Status
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, all three leagues that WCP teams participate in have been cancelled: SAM SOCCER, MSI and EDP and thus WCP's Spring season is officially cancelled for all teams.
The Spring season was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID-19, however we continued to hold Zoom sessions with our teams. Although the virtual Spring season has now come to a close, some teams are holding in-person training sessions depending on their coaches' availability. In this instance, please be sure to review WCP's Return to Play Guidelines for phase 2 which can be found on our website.
Mandatory Pre-Season Training & Fall Season Start Dates
We are continuing to monitor the latest information from local and state authorities as we progress through the phases of reopening in our county and state. As we near the Fall season, we will have a better idea of the exact layout for the Fall in adherence with up to date guidelines.
Dates for Mandatory High School Pre-Season Camp:
Last week of July through the first week of August for all high school aged teams both weeks required 6:00-7:30pm every weekday. Location TBD. (a)
Fall Season Start Date:
4th week of August for ages U10-U15, to include the annual, mandatory pre-season training (b); Last week of August for U9 and high school aged players. Location TBD. (c)*
(a) Mandatory High School Pre-Season Camp is a two-week evening camp from 6:00-7:30pm every weekday from the last week of July through the 1st week of August for all players U16 and up to get ready for their High School tryouts. Location tbd. (Training could go a bit longer at coaches discretion). WCP players required to attend both weeks. WCP player camp registration will be included in the yearly fee for all players by popular request. Non-WCP players always welcome to register online at www.worldclasspremier.net/registration
(b) The first week of the Fall season is designated for the Mandatory Pre-season Training which is a week-long evening camp for ages U10-U15, Monday-Friday, and all players in this age group are required to attend. Predominantly held from 5:30-7:00pm. This annual, mandatory training gets players back in the mindset of training and helps to get their stamina back up right before diving into the official season. U9 players do not yet participate in pre-season training. WCP player training registration will be included in the yearly fee for all players by popular request.
(c) U9 don’t have a pre-season, as the club policy is that pre-season training begins at U10. Also, U16 and up had their pre-season already. Therefore, U9 teams and U16 teams and up don’t start their season until the last week of August.
2020/2021 Soccer Year Registration
Registration information will be sent out soon for the upcoming soccer year. We look forward to having the players back on the pitch! This year, in light of COVID-19, families can register for the upcoming soccer year and wait to begin payments until close to the start of the season.
WCP Return to Play Guidelines
WCP has compiled Return to Play Guidelines in adherence to local and state social distancing and sanitation recommendations. This strict set of criteria have been set in place to follow health and safety guidelines and youth sports best practices at this time to limit the risk of exposure to our players and their families.
The guidelines are a collaboration between the MSYSA (Maryland State Youth Soccer Association) Return to Play Recommended Guidelines, US Soccer's Play On Guidelines, Maryland State Health Department and CDC Recommendations along with World Class Premier's own strict standard of guidelines for returning to play. The guidelines are fluid and will be altered and added to at any point, as needed.
